Approve withdrawals above cashiers limit

This facility allows a designated person to enter his/her password to approve a withdrawal above the limit given to a cashier/teller to complete the transaction without him/her having to go to teller's desk.

This is done by setting limits / caps to amount the cashiers / tellers can withdraw.

Note Ensure that you have configured the savings product to require a password to Approve withdrawals above cashiers limit under System/Configuration /Savings accounts Settings and selected the designated officers whose passwords will be required to effect the withdrawal above cashiers limit

How to do we Approve withdrawals above cashiers limit.

To approve withdrawals above cashier's limit Go to System/Configurations/Users a screen like one below appears:

• Click on the Edit button to select a user or Add button to add a new user a screen like one below appears:

• Select a user you want to edit to make a cashier e.g. "Joseph" or make the user you have added a cashier.
• Set the maximum withdrawal amount an officer may handle for the user you have selected e.g "500,000" do this for all the cashiers.
• Fill all the other relevant information and Save.
• Log in as a cashier e.g. "Joseph" and initiate a withdrawal above the "500,000" set at System/Configuration/Users. e.g. "550,000"
• The validation message below will show.

• The system will then give the cashier an option to seek approval from a designated officer. See image below

• Select the approving officer from the drop down menu e.g. "George", a message requesting for approval is sent to the person the cashier selected. For this message to appear instantly to the designated officer, he/she Loan performer should be running on a network (Wide or local) and the approving officer should be logged in.
• However If he/she is not logged in but later starts Loan Performer, he/she will see the message at startup.

• Click on the Save button a reminder message for the cashier showing a pending withdraw as a result of cash limit will display.

• At log in by a designated officer who was chosen to give authorization will appear as below;.
• This a notification message will appear immediately when the officer is logged on or when he later logs in:

• The approving officer will go to the savings module and
• Click on Approve withdrawals above cashiers limit menu.
• A screen like one below appears:

• Select the appropriate action e.g "Approve"
• Click on the Save button to authorize/approve the cash withdrawal.
• A message indicating the withdrawal has been approved will be sent to the cashier.
• The cashier clicks OK upon receiving the message to complete the withdrawal transaction.
• Cashier re initiates the transaction with the amount that was approved and it will successfully go through.
